pro ball is back in brockton

Professional baseball is back in the city of Brockton, Massachusetts! As the newest addition to the MLB-partnered Frontier League, the New England Knockouts are set to have their inaugural 2024 season revitalize professional baseball in Brockton and to grow with the surrounding community. While baseball is certainly not new to the area — with the Brockton Rox getting their start in 2005 as a member of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball — the Knockouts will be the first professional team in Brockton since the Rox’s discontinued participation in the Can-Am League in 2011.

Knockouts owner Brian Kahn, who also holds ownership of the Frontier League’s Windy City ThunderBolts, purchased the Brockton Rox in 2022 and always envisioned bringing pro ball back to the city of Brockton. Shortly after his acquisition of the Rox, his vision was presented to the Frontier League, and membership was awarded to the now-New England Knockouts in 2023.

how we're giving back

Knockouts in the community

The Knockouts organization strongly believes in giving back to the community that so kindly welcomed us to the city of Brockton, so we’re getting involved to become an active member in the community to show our gratitude. More information to come!

Knockouts host families

Host a Knockout this season! A few of our players are in need of a place to call home for the 2024 season and are looking for host families in the community to generously welcome them into their homes. Host families are incredibly valuable to the Knockouts organization and have the opportunity to serve as a support pillar to our players' development on and off the field. More information to come!

Knockouts reading club

Marv’s reading club is a community initiative designed to connect with local schools in Plymouth County and assist in literacy development. Students K-8 will not only have the opportunity to strengthen their reading skills but also have the chance to “knockout” their reading goals to earn prizes throughout the New England Knockouts 2024 season. Each student who completes the program will receive a ticket voucher for 2 games and also be gifted an exclusive Marv plush toy.

Donation requests

The New England Knockouts take great pride in their role as a valuable community partner, demonstrating their commitment through various initiatives. These include donating autographed merchandise, organizing charity auctions featuring game-worn jerseys, and actively engaging with local schools, hospitals, and community events across Southern Massachusetts and New England. Our dedication to giving back showcases our strong sense of responsibility to our fans and the broader community.
